OUR HISTORY

In 1981 after many years of successful operation the brothers chose to sell INTERCOOL to The Danish Sugar Factories (De Danske Sukkerfabrikker (DDS) later named Danisco) which made it a subsidiary of Pacilac Danish Turnkey Dairies also owned by DDS at that time.

Later two Danish companies became co-owners of INTERCOOL, DANISH CROWN which at that time already were and still is the largest slaughtering and meat processing group in Europe (owned by the Danish farmers) and BHJ GROUP to which WOLFKING Denmark belonged and which was a specialized manufacturer of further processing machinery and processing lines for the meat industry.

In 1997 INTERCOOL had a management buyout and in 2001 AKP GROUP became the majority shareholder of INTERCOOL. AKP GROUP is an Danish company which invests in ideas and people, they believe in.
